How Corner Post Articles Are Made.

Corner Post is the publishing arm of the Educated Guess Ventures Intelligence Center. Every article follows the same editorial standard, enforced by software before a human ever sees the draft.

Sources

We monitor and cite a registered source list, graded by authority. Statistics of record come only from government and primary data (NCES, the National Student Clearinghouse, WICHE, IIE, BLS, OECD) and peer-reviewed research. Named analyst firms are cited as projections, attributed to the firm. We do not cite aggregators, press-release wires, or unattributed commentary.

Verification

Before review, every draft passes an automated gate pipeline: each numeric claim must trace to a registered source or a verified internal claim; every external link is checked live; analyst projections must carry attribution; preliminary figures must be labeled. A draft that fails cannot publish.

Human review

Articles publish only after review by a named editor, except for routine data-refresh updates that pass every automated check — and that autonomy is revoked automatically if a published update ever requires correction.

Corrections

Corrections are appended visibly to the article with the date, and the article’s modification date is updated. We update articles in place as new final data releases arrive; the “As of” date reflects the last review.
